Ground Beef



Ground Beef and Gravy Over Mashed Potatoes:


Ingredients


For the Beef and Gravy:


1 lb ground beef


1 small onion, finely chopped


2 cloves garlic, minced


2 tbsp all-purpose flour


2 cups beef broth


1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce


½ tsp salt (or to taste)


½ tsp black pepper


½ tsp onion powder


½ tsp garlic powder


½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)


1 tbsp butter



For the Mashed Potatoes:


4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cubed


3 tbsp butter


½ cup milk (or more if needed)


Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions


1️⃣ Make the Mashed Potatoes:


Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (about 15 minutes).


Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.



2️⃣ Cook the Beef and Gravy:


In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onions until beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain any excess grease.


Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.


Sprinkle in the flour and stir, cooking for another minute.


Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.


Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.


Simmer until the gravy thickens (about 5 minutes). Stir in butter for extra richness.



3️⃣ Assemble & Serve:


Spoon the beef and gravy over a generous serving of mashed potatoes.
