Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Breadsticks
Ingredients:
1 lb thinly sliced steak (like ribeye or sirloin)
1 small onion, diced
1 small green bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent roll sheet)
1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
1 egg (for egg wash)
Optional: garlic butter (melted butter + garlic powder + parsley)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cook the filling:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Sauté onions and bell peppers until soft.
Add thinly sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Set aside to cool slightly.
3. Roll out dough and cut into 4–6 rectangles (depending on how large you want the breadsticks).
4. Add filling:
Spoon a little steak/veggie mixture down the center of each rectangle.
Top with shredded cheese.
5. Seal and roll:
Fold the sides over the filling and pinch the edges to seal. Flip seam-side down on the baking sheet.
6. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden brown.
7. Optional: Brush with garlic butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
