Crispy Potato



 Crispy Potato and Onion Fritters 


Ingredients:


3 potatoes, peeled and grated


1 onion, thinly sliced


1 carrot, grated


5 cloves of garlic, minced


100g cheese, grated (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)


A bunch of spring onions, chopped


1 egg


Salt, to taste


3 tablespoons flour


Sunflower oil (for frying)



Instructions:


1. Prepare the potatoes – Grate the potatoes and squeeze out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.



2. Mix the ingredients – In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, sliced onion, grated carrot, minced garlic, cheese, and chopped spring onions.



3. Add the binding ingredients – Stir in the egg, salt, and flour. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.



4. Heat the oil – In a frying pan, heat about 2-3 tablespoons of sunflower oil over medium heat.



5. Form the fritters – Take a spoonful of the mixture and shape it into a small patty. Gently place it in the hot oil.



6. Fry until golden brown – Cook each side for about 3-4 minutes or until crispy and golden. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.



7. Serve and enjoy – Serve warm with sour cream, yogurt, or your favorite dipping sauce.
