Cheesy Ground Beef Pasta Shells
Ingredients:
3 cups pasta shells
1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta: Boil the pasta shells in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
3. Sauté Onion & Garlic: Add the chopped onion and garlic to the beef and cook until soft and fragrant.
4. Add Tomatoes & Seasoning: Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
5. Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet, stirring well to coat everything in the sauce.
6. Add Cheese: Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top. Cover and let it melt for 2-3 minutes
