Strawberry Cream Cheese Rolls


Ingredients:

For the dough:


3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet instant yeast (7g)

¼ cup sugar

½ tsp salt

¾ cup warm milk

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 egg

For the filling:


1 cup cream cheese, softened

½ cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced

½ cup strawberry jam (optional)

For the glaze:


1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

½ tsp vanilla extract

Pink food coloring (optional)

For topping:


Fresh strawberries, sliced

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions:

Prepare the dough:

In a bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5 minutes.

Add the egg, flour, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Make the filling:

Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the rolls:

Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough.

Add a layer of sliced strawberries and drizzle with strawberry jam (if using).

Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls (about 1 inch thick).

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Make the glaze:

Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Add pink food coloring if desired.

Finish and serve:

Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls. Top with fresh strawberries and dust with powdered sugar.

Serve warm and enjoy!
