Cream Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Doritos Chicken


Ingredients:


4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts


1 cup cream cheese, softened


1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled


1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


2 cups nacho cheese-flavored Doritos, crushed into fine crumbs


1 cup all-purpose flour


2 eggs


Salt and pepper, to taste


1 tsp garlic powder (optional)


Cooking spray or oil

Instructions:


1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment and lightly grease it.



2. Prepare the filling: In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, crumbled bacon, and mozzarella cheese until well combined.



3. Butterfly the chicken: Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast (do not cut all the way through).



4. Stuff the chicken: Spoon the cream cheese mixture evenly into each chicken breast pocket. Use toothpicks to seal if needed.



5. Set up breading stations:


Plate 1: All-purpose flour (season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder)


Bowl 2: Beaten eggs


Plate 3: Crushed Doritos crumbs




6. Coat the chicken:


Dredge each stuffed chicken breast in flour.


Dip into beaten egg.


Press into crushed Doritos, coating thoroughly.




7. Bake: Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or drizzle with oil for extra crispiness.



8. Cook for 30–35 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temp of 165°F) and the coating is golden and crispy.



9. Rest & serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad.
