Spicy Veggie Delight Pizza
Ingredients:
For the dough (or use store-bought):
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
1 tsp sugar
3/4 cup warm water
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
For the toppings:
1/2 cup pizza sauce (or spicy marinara)
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced red onions
1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (red, green, or yellow)
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped fresh spinach
1 small jalapeño, thinly sliced (or more for extra heat)
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Optional: sliced black olives, banana peppers, or cherry tomatoes
For garnish:
Fresh basil or parsley
Drizzle of hot sauce or chili oil (optional)

Instructions:
1. Make the dough (skip if using store-bought):
Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Add flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix and knead until smooth (5–7 minutes).
Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
2. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
3. Assemble the pizza:
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle on the shredded mozzarella.
Add all the vegetables evenly.
Sprinkle red pepper flakes over the top for heat.
4. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
5. Garnish & serve:
Add fresh herbs and a drizzle of hot sauce or chili oil for that final spicy kick.
