Crockpot Loaded Steak and Potato Bake
Ingredients:
1½ to 2 lbs steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized chunks
6 medium russet potatoes, peeled and diced
1 small onion, diced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Sour cream (optional topping)
---
Instructions:
1. Prep: Spray the inside of your crockpot with nonstick spray or use a liner.
2. Sear Steak (Optional): In a skillet, heat olive oil and lightly sear steak pieces for 1–2 minutes per side for added flavor. This step is optional but recommended.
3. Layer: In the crockpot, layer half of the potatoes, half of the onions, half the steak, and a sprinkle of seasoning. Repeat with remaining layers. Top with bacon (reserve some for garnish if desired).
4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are fork-tender and steak is cooked through.
5. Add Cheese: About 10–15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top, cover, and let melt.
6. Serve: Garnish with green onions and extra bacon. Add a dollop of sour cream if desired.
