1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or white vinegar)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)
Salt & black pepper, to taste
12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (or slider buns)
8 slices American cheese (or cheddar, optional)
Dill pickle slices, for topping
3 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Filling
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is browned and crumbly.
Drain excess grease.
Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, mustard, salt, and pepper.
Let simmer uncovered for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most liquid is absorbed but meat stays moist.
2. Assemble the Sliders
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally (keeping the top and bottom halves intact).
Place the bottom half in a greased 9x13 casserole dish.
Spread the seasoned loose meat evenly over the rolls.
Top with cheese slices and pickle slices
Place the top half of the rolls on top.
3. Butter Topping
Brush the tops with melted butter.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
4. Bake
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
5. Serve
Let rest 5 minutes before cutting into individual sliders.
Serve warm with chips, fries, or coleslaw.
