  Crispy Chicken Tenders



Ingredients


For the Chicken Tenders:


1 lb chicken tenders (or boneless chicken breast cut into strips)


1 cup buttermilk


1 teaspoon salt


½ teaspoon black pepper


½ teaspoon garlic powder


½ teaspoon smoked paprika


1 cup all-purpose flour


1 cup panko breadcrumbs


1 teaspoon baking powder


2 large eggs


2 tablespoons milk


Oil for frying



For the Dipping Sauce (Honey Mustard & Ranch Options):


Honey Mustard:


¼ cup mayonnaise


2 tablespoons honey


1 tablespoon Dijon mustard


½ teaspoon lemon juice


Pinch of salt



Ranch Dressing:


¼ cup sour cream


¼ cup mayonnaise


1 teaspoon dried parsley


½ teaspoon dried dill


½ teaspoon garlic powder


½ teaspoon onion powder


Salt & pepper to taste




Instructions


1. Marinate the Chicken:


In a bowl, mix buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Add the chicken tenders and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best results).


2. Prepare the Breading:


In a shallow bowl, combine flour, panko breadcrumbs, and baking powder. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk.


3. Bread the Chicken:


Remove chicken from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off. Dip each piece into the flour mixture, then into the egg wash, then back into the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.


4. Fry the Chicken:


Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken tenders in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on a paper towel.


5. Make the Dipping Sauce:


For honey mustard, mix all ingredients until smooth. For ranch, combine all ingredients and whisk well.


6. Serve & Enjoy!


Serve the crispy chicken tenders hot with your choice of dipping sauce!
