Ingredients:
1 cup crushed pretzels (or Rice Krispies for extra crunch)
1 cup caramel bits (or soft caramels, unwrapped)
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 ½ cups milk chocolate chips (or semi-sweet)
½ cup butterscotch chips (optional, for extra flavor)
1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter
Instructions:
1. Prepare the base – Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Spread the crushed pretzels evenly in the pan.
2. Melt the caramel – In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramel bits and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth. Pour over the pretzels and spread evenly. Let it set for 10 minutes.
3. Melt the chocolate – In another microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips, butterscotch chips (if using), and coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Pour over the caramel layer and spread evenly.
4. Chill – Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
5. Cut & Enjoy – Remove from the pan, cut into bars, and serve!
