Crispy Egg Rolls



Crispy Homemade Egg Rolls 😋


Ingredients:


1 lb ground pork (or chicken/shrimp)


1 cup shredded cabbage


½ cup shredded carrots


¼ cup green onions, finely chopped


2 cloves garlic, minced


1 tsp fresh ginger, minced (or ½ tsp ground ginger)


1 tbsp soy sauce


1 tsp sesame oil


½ tsp salt


½ tsp black pepper


12 egg roll wrappers


1 egg, beaten (for sealing)


Vegetable oil (for frying)



Instructions:


1. Prepare the Filling


In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground pork until browned. Drain excess grease.


Add cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 3-4 minutes until veggies soften.


Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.




2. Assemble the Egg Rolls


Lay an egg roll wrapper diagonally on a clean surface.


Place 2 tablespoons of filling in the center.


Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides.


Brush the top corner with beaten egg and roll tightly to seal.




3. Fry Until Crispy


Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F.


Fry 3-4 egg rolls at a time for 3-4 minutes, turning until golden brown.


Remove and drain on a paper towel.




4. Serve & Enjoy


Serve hot with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or homemade duck sauce!





Air Fryer Option:


Spray egg rolls with oil and air fry at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.



Pro Tips:


✔️ Add a little hoisin sauce or oyster sauce for extra flavor.

✔️ Use pre-shredded coleslaw mix to save time!

✔️ Freeze uncooked egg rolls for later—just fry or air fry straight from frozen!
