Meat and Potato Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground sausage)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onions until fully cooked. Drain excess grease and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half the potatoes in the prepared baking dish, followed by half the cooked meat mixture. Repeat layers.
- In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour over the casserole.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake uncovered for 15 more minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
