Pepper Steak with Macaroni & Cheese
Pepper Steak Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)
1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
Macaroni & Cheese Ingredients:
2 cups elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups milk (whole or 2%)
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions:
Pepper Steak:
1. Marinate the Steak – In a bowl, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss in sliced steak and let it marinate for 15–30 minutes.
2. Cook the Steak – Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for about 2 minutes per side, then remove and set aside.
3. Cook the Vegetables – Add remaining oil, bell peppers, onions, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
4. Make the Sauce – Pour in beef broth, then stir in brown sugar (if using). Bring to a simmer.
5. Thicken the Sauce – Mix cornstarch with water, then stir it into the pan. Let the sauce thicken, then return the steak to the pan. Simmer for 2 more minutes, then remove from heat.

Macaroni & Cheese:
1. Cook the Macaroni – Boil pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Make the Cheese Sauce – In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
3. Add Cheese & Seasonings – Stir in shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir until melted and creamy.
4. Combine – Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce
