Bacon Cheeseburger taco

 


Bacon Cheeseburger Tacos


Ingredients:


1 lb ground beef


1/2 lb bacon, chopped


1 small onion, finely chopped


2 cloves garlic, minced


1 packet taco seasoning


1/4 cup water


8 small flour tortillas (or soft taco shells)


1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


1 cup lettuce, shredded


1/2 cup pickles, chopped


1 tomato, diced


1/4 cup ketchup


1/4 cup mustard (optional)


Salt and pepper to taste



Instructions:


1. Cook the bacon: In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set it aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the pan.



2. Cook the beef: In the same skillet, add the ground beef to the bacon drippings and cook over medium heat until browned. Break it up into crumbles as it cooks.



3. Add onions and garlic: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef and cook until the onion softens, about 3-4 minutes.



4. Season the beef: Stir in the taco seasoning and water, and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens.



5. Assemble the tacos: Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave. Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla.



6. Add toppings: Sprinkle each taco with shredded cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, pickles, and diced tomato.



7. Add condiments: Drizzle with ketchup and mustard if desired.



8. Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy
