Homemade Crispy Crackers
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter)
1/3 cup water (more if needed)
1/2 tsp salt
Optional: herbs (like rosemary or thyme), sesame seeds, garlic powder, or everything bagel seasoning
---
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and any seasonings or herbs. Add olive oil and water, mixing until a smooth dough forms. Add a little more water if it’s too dry.
3. Roll it out: Divide dough in half. Roll each piece out very thinly on a floured surface (the thinner, the crispier!). Aim for about 1/16-inch thick.
4. Cut & prick: Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut into squares or rectangles. Prick each cracker with a fork to prevent puffing.
5. Bake: Place on the prepared sheet and bake for 10–15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Watch closely toward the end so they don’t burn.
6. Cool: Let them cool completely—they’ll crisp up even more.

Tips:
For cheesy crackers, add 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan or cheddar to the dough.
Want extra crunch? Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with flaky salt before baking.
