Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients:


8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta


1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined


2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (divided)


2 tbsp olive oil


2 tbsp butter


3 cloves garlic, minced


1 cup heavy cream


1/2 cup chicken broth


1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese


1/2 tsp paprika


Salt & pepper to taste


Chopped parsley (for garnish)


Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions:


1. Cook pasta:

Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.



2. Season shrimp:

Toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning.



3. Sauté shrimp:

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.



4. Make sauce:

In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, remaining Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–5 minutes until thickened.



5. Combine:

Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Simmer another 2 minutes to heat everything through.



6. Serve:

Garnish with chopped parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.
