PEPPERONI PIZZA TACOS
Ingredients:
• 8–10 taco shells (hard or soft, your preference)
• 1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage), cooked and crumbled
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 1 cup pizza sauce
• 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
• Optional: sliced olives, chopped bell peppers, red pepper flakes
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) if using hard taco shells or want melty, crispy tacos.
2. Cook meat: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion until soft (about 3–4 minutes). Add the ground beef or Italian sausage and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
3. Add sauce: Stir in the pizza sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through.
4. Assemble tacos:
For soft shells: Lay them flat, add the meat mixture, sprinkle with mozzarella, add pepperoni slices, and any optional toppings.
For hard shells: Stand them in a baking dish, fill with meat mixture, top with cheese and pepperoni.
5. Bake (optional): Place tacos in the oven for 8–10 minutes or until cheese is melted and shells are crispy.
6. Serve hot: Garnish with red pepper flakes or fresh herbs if desired.
