🧀 Cheesy Shrimp & Crab Spinach Dip
🧂 Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, chopped
1/2 lb lump crab meat (or imitation crab, shredded)
1 (10 oz) package frozen spinach, thawed & squeezed dry
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or paprika + pinch of cayenne)
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup sharp cheddar, shredded (optional, for extra cheesiness)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
🔥 Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish.
2. Cook aromatics & shrimp:
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft (about 3 minutes).
Add chopped shrimp and cook until just pink (2–3 minutes). Remove from heat.
3. Mix the base:
In a large bowl, combine:
Cream cheese
Sour cream
Mayonnaise
Old Bay, black pepper, and lemon juice
Mix until smooth and creamy.
4. Fold in goodness:
Stir in:
Cooked shrimp/onion mix
Crab meat
Spinach
Half of each cheese (mozzarella, Parmesan, cheddar)
5. Assemble & bake:
Transfer to a baking dish.
Sprinkle remaining cheeses on top.
Bake 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
6. Serve warm with:
Toasted baguette slices
Tortilla chips
Crackers or fresh veggies
💡 Tips:
Want more kick? Add a few dashes of hot sauce or a pinch of crushed red pepper.
For a smokier flavor, try adding a bit of smoked paprika or use smoked gouda instead of cheddar.
