Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 large eggs
1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple (with juice)
1 cup granulated sugar
For the Frosting:
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

🧁 Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
2. Prepare the cake mix according to box directions, but use milk instead of water, and add 4 eggs and oil. Mix until smooth.
3. Bake the cake in the prepared pan for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
4. While cake is still warm, poke holes all over the top using a fork or skewer.
5. In a saucepan, combine the crushed pineapple (with juice) and 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
6. Pour the hot pineapple mixture evenly over the warm cake, letting it soak in. Let the cake cool completely.
7. Make the frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, beat until smooth.
8. Spread frosting over the cooled cake. Top with chopped pecans or coconut if desired.
