Apple Cinnamon Swirl Loaf


🍎 Ingredients:


1/3 cup light brown sugar


1 tsp ground cinnamon


2/3 cup white sugar


1/2 cup butter, softened


2 eggs


1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


1 3/4 tsp baking powder


1/2 cup milk


1 apple, peeled and finely chopped (use a crisp, tart variety like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

🧁 Instructions:


1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.



2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.



3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.



4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Add this to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with flour.



5. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar mixture and half the chopped apples over the batter. Gently swirl with a knife.



6. Add the remaining batter on top. Sprinkle the remaining apples and cinnamon-sugar over it, and swirl again lightly.



7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.



8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
