🍫 Light and Fluffy Chocolate Mousse (3 Ingredients)


Ingredients


4 oz (115 g) dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa, chopped)


2 large eggs, separated


1 pinch of salt



(Optional garnish: fresh berries, a dusting of cocoa powder, or shaved chocolate.)

Instructions


1. Melt the chocolate


Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.


Set over a pan of gently simmering water (double boiler method) and stir until smooth.


Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.




2. Whisk egg yolks


Once the chocolate is warm (not hot), whisk in the egg yolks until smooth and glossy.




3. Beat egg whites


In a clean bowl, add egg whites with a pinch of salt.


Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until stiff peaks form.




4. Fold gently


Using a spatula, fold the whipped egg whites into the chocolate mixture in 2–3 additions.


Be gentle to keep the mixture airy and fluffy.




5. Chill & set


Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls.


Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) until firm and mousse-like.
