Cheddar Biscuits

 



Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour in the milk and mix just until combined (do not overmix).
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. While the biscuits bake, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley for the topping.
  9. Brush the warm biscuits with the garlic butter mixture.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
