Ultimate Chicken Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
8 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1 cup milk
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
1 cup frozen peas & carrots (optional)
1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
4 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven: Set to 350°F (175°C).
2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cooked egg noodles, both soups, sour cream, milk, cheddar cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined. Add frozen veggies if using.
3. Assemble Casserole: Pour mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
4. Prepare Topping: Mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter, then sprinkle over the casserole.
5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
6. Serve & Enjoy: Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Pro Tip:
If you like a thicker sauce, stir in 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with a little cold milk before baking!
