Stuffed Shells recipe with a cheesy, savory filling that's pure comfort food!
Ingredients:
20 jumbo pasta shells
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (plus extra for topping)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
3 cups marinara sauce
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta: Boil the jumbo shells in salted water until al dente. Drain and let them cool.
2. Make the filling: In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
3. Fill the shells: Spoon the cheese mixture into each pasta shell.
4. Assemble: Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells on top. Pour the remaining sauce over them and sprinkle extra mozzarella cheese.
5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
