🧄🧀 Cheesy Garlic Butter Mushroom Stuffed Chicken


⭐ Ingredients:


For the Chicken:


4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts


Salt & pepper, to taste


1 tsp paprika


1 tsp Italian seasoning


Toothpicks or kitchen twine (to secure the chicken)



For the Mushroom Filling:


1 tbsp butter


1 tbsp olive oil


1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped (button or cremini)


3 cloves garlic, minced


1/4 tsp salt


1/4 tsp black pepper


1/2 tsp thyme (or Italian seasoning)


1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Optional: 2 tbsp cream cheese for extra creaminess



For Garlic Butter Sauce:


3 tbsp butter


2 cloves garlic, minced


1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)

🔪 Instructions:


1. Prepare the Filling:


In a skillet over medium heat, add butter and olive oil. Sauté chopped mushrooms and garlic with salt, pepper, and thyme until mushrooms are soft and moisture is mostly evaporated (about 5–7 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in mozzarella, Parmesan, and optional cream cheese. Set aside.


2. Prep the Chicken:


Using a sharp knife, cut a deep pocket into the side of each chicken breast (don’t cut all the way through). Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.


3. Stuff the Chicken:


Fill each chicken breast with the mushroom-cheese mixture. Secure with toothpicks or kitchen twine to keep filling inside while cooking.


4. Cook the Chicken:


Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil and sear the stuffed chicken breasts 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.


5. Garlic Butter Sauce:


Melt the garlic butter in the pan with the chicken or separately, and spoon it over the chicken before baking.


6. Bake:


Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.


Drizzle extra garlic butter sauce on top for extra flavor.
