Classic Meatloaf with Glaze



 🍽️ Classic Meatloaf with Glaze


📝 Ingredients:


For the meatloaf:


2 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)


1 small onion, finely diced


2 cloves garlic, minced


2 large eggs


1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)


½ cup whole milk


2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce


2 tbsp ketchup


1 tbsp Dijon mustard


1 tbsp parsley (fresh or dried)


1 tsp salt


½ tsp black pepper



For the glaze:


½ cup ketchup


2 tbsp brown sugar


1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

🔥 Instructions:


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease a loaf pan.



2. Prepare meat mixture:

In a large bowl, add ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, parsley, salt, and pepper. Gently mix just until combined — overmixing will make it tough.



3. Shape the meatloaf into a uniform loaf on the prepared sheet or in the loaf pan.



4. Make the glaze:

Stir ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Brush half of the glaze all over the top of the meatloaf.



5. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and spread the remaining glaze on top. Bake an additional 10–15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).



6. Rest & serve:

Let meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans, or your favorite veggies!
