🥘 Amish Sunday Savior Casserole
Ingredients:

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cups cooked egg noodles
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Brown the beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess grease. -
Add vegetables:
Add the sliced carrots and celery to the skillet. Cook for about 5–6 minutes until they begin to soften. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for another 2 minutes. -
Combine ingredients:
In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Stir in ½ cup of the shredded cheddar cheese. -
Assemble the casserole:
Add the cooked noodles and the beef/vegetable mixture to the soup mixture. Stir until everything is well combined. -
Transfer to baking dish:
Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish. Spread evenly. -
Top with cheese:
Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top. -
Bake:
Cover with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top. -
Serve hot:
Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy with a slice of crusty bread or a side salad!

- Swap peas for corn or green beans if preferred.
- Use cream of chicken or celery soup instead of mushroom for a twist.
