Crockpot Barbecue Ribs
Ingredients:
2 cups your favorite barbecue sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, freshly minced
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)
3–4 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Non-stick spray or cooking oil (for greasing the crockpot)
---
Instructions:
1. Prep the Ribs:
Remove the silver skin (membrane) from the back of the ribs if needed.
Season ribs with salt and pepper on both sides.
2. Make the Sauce:
In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
3. Layer in Crockpot:
Lightly grease the crockpot insert.
Cut ribs into sections and layer them in the crockpot.
Pour the sauce mixture over the ribs, making sure they’re well coated.
4. Cook:
Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until ribs are tender and juicy.
5. Optional Finishing Touch:
For caramelized, sticky ribs: Transfer cooked ribs to a baking sheet, brush with more sauce, and broil for 3–5 minutes until slightly charred and glossy.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve with coleslaw, cornbread, baked beans, or potato salad.
