🧀🌶️ Cheddar Jalapeño Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1–2 jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
3/4 cup buttermilk (plus more if needed)

Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Cut in Butter: Add cold, cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter or fork to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Add Cheese & Jalapeños: Stir in shredded cheddar and chopped jalapeños.
5. Add Buttermilk: Pour in the buttermilk and mix just until dough forms. Do not overmix.
6. Shape Biscuits: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough, form into a ball or drop shape, and place on the baking sheet.
7. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
8. Cool & Serve: Let cool slightly on a wire rack. Serve warm with butter!
Optional Add-ons:
Brush tops with melted butter after baking.
Add a dash of garlic powder to the dry mix for extra flavor.
