🧀 Classic Baked Ham and Cheese Rolls
Soft rolls stuffed with melty cheese and savory ham, then brushed with a buttery glaze and baked to golden perfection!
📝 Ingredients:
For the Rolls:
1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough or crescent dough sheet
8 oz thinly sliced ham
1½ cups shredded Swiss cheese (or mozzarella, cheddar, or provolone)
For the Butter Glaze:
¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp honey (optional, for a hint of sweetness)
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried parsley or poppy seeds (optional)
🔥 Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
2. Roll and Fill
Unroll the dough into a rectangle. If using pizza dough, press it out gently to an even thickness.
Layer sliced ham evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
3. Roll and Slice
Starting on the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
Slice into 1 to 1½ inch pieces and arrange cut-side down in the baking dish.
4. Make the Glaze
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with mustard, honey (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley.
5. Brush and Bake
Brush the butter mixture generously over the rolls.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
6. Serve Warm
Let cool slightly and serve warm. Perfect on their own or with a side of honey mustard or ranch!
🍽️ Tips:
Use leftover ham or deli ham — just keep it thin.
These freeze well after baking! Reheat in a toaster oven for best texture.
Great with a little cooked spinach or caramelized onions added before rolling.
