Lemon Butter Baked Cod



🍋 Lemon Butter Baked Cod Recipe


Ingredients:

4 cod fillets (about 5–6 oz each)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

Juice of 1 lemon (plus extra slices for garnish)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)

Salt & black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions:


1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.


2. Arrange the cod fillets in the dish. Pat them dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using).


3. Make the lemon butter sauce:

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.


4. Pour the sauce evenly over the cod fillets. Spoon some of it on top to coat the fish well.


5. Bake for 15–18 minutes (depending on thickness), or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.


6. Broil (optional) for 1–2 minutes at the end for a lightly golden top.


7. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices. Serve hot with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh green salad.
