Spicy Garlic Butter Fish & Shrimp over Creamy Mashed Potatoes
*Ingredients:*
*For the mashed potatoes:*
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled & boiled
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup milk or cream
- Salt & pepper to taste
*For the fish & shrimp:*
- 2 white fish fillets (like sea bass or cod)
- 200g (7 oz) shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, pepper, paprika
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
*For the spicy butter sauce:*
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (or to taste)
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Pinch of smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
*Instructions:*
1. *Mash the potatoes* with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until creamy. Set aside.
2. *Season fish & shrimp* with salt, pepper, and paprika.
3. *Heat olive oil* in a skillet. Sear fish skin-side down 3–4 min, flip, cook 2–3 min more. Remove.
4. Add shrimp to same pan, cook 1–2 min per side. Set aside.
5. *Make sauce:* Melt butter in the pan, add garlic, chili flakes, paprika, and lemon juice.
