🥩 Quick Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry 🥦🔥
This savory and flavorful beef stir-fry comes together in minutes! Tender beef, crisp broccoli, and a rich, umami-packed sauce make this dish perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients:
For the Stir-Fry:
1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
2 cups broccoli florets
1 medium carrot, sliced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp green onions, chopped
1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
For the Sauce:
¼ cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cornstarch, mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
Directions:
1. Prep the Ingredients
Slice the beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
Chop the broccoli, carrots, and green onions.
2. Make the Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, red pepper flakes, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
3. Cook the Beef
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.
Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
4. Stir-Fry the Veggies
Add another 1 tbsp oil to the pan.
Stir-fry garlic, ginger, broccoli, and carrots for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
5. Combine & Simmer
Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce.
Stir well and let it simmer for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
6. Serve & Garnish
Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
