Sliced Baked Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium Russet potatoes (or your favorite kind)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp black pepper
  • ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for a little kick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Parmesan, or your favorite)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the potatoes – Wash and dry the potatoes. Slice them into ¼-inch thick rounds, keeping them uniform for even cooking.
  3. Season – In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Coat the potatoes – Place sliced potatoes in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil or melted butter, and toss with the seasoning mixture to coat evenly.
  5. Bake – Arrange the slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  6. Add cheese – Sprinkle shredded cheese over the potatoes and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until melted.
  7. Garnish & serve – Remove from the oven and top with fresh parsley or green onions. Serve hot with your favorite dip!
